To renew the passport at the Syrian Consulate in Detroit, the renewal pages in the passport should be valid for use. The applicant should send by mail to the Honorary Consulate the followings:

1. Expiring passport

2. Two application forms

3. Three passport photos.

4. Certificate of military status (if applicable)

5. Receipt of payment of Expatriate Tax (if applicable), or copy of the American passport.

6. $142 in money order payable to the Consulate of Syria

7. Self addressed stamped envelope (express mail or FedEx are recommended)
